Here we have at Advox tried to compile a list of abbreviations and terms that might be hard to know but of interest for you in order to help understanding the world of e-mails!

32-bit application
Most software today are designed for the Intel platform that itself are designed to run so called 32-bit applications. Example of operating systems that are so called 32-bit are Windows 95 or 98, and Windows NT Server or Workstation 3.51 or 4.0. On the these operating systems (OS) applications or software programs, that are designed to utilize all specific benefits and features are called 32-bit applications. The generation before that of operating systems on the Intel platform where so called 16-bit. Windows 3.11 or 3.1 and DOS are examples of that.

Administration
The term speaks for itself! But when it comes to certain software, usually server type software, they require certain types of administration. The less administration needed to run them as well as how easy they are to use are very important. A software that are hard to administrate won't be used at all or will only cost more in the long run due to third party support.

Address lists
These are either personal or global and are used in the e-mail software to have easy access to frequently used e-mail recipients that one use in ones day-to-day work.

API
An Application Program Interface that are used by programmers that want to build customized solutions for their organizations. In this case solutions that can solve e-mail challenges.

E-mail Autocode
If the software supports and handles the use and reply function in the e-mail software to make sure that returning e-mail always get the right underlying code. If not the e-mail will come back to your inbox saying "undeliverable"!
