10 songs worth remembering:
(updated 2/5 -2000)

Judas Priest - "Beyond the realms of death"
One of Priest's most underrated songs, partly ballad-style and it features one of my favorite guitar solos of all time, which lasts for about 1 minute and 30 seconds. (pretty long one, heh)
(Available on the "Stained class" album)

Children of Bodom - "Deadnight warrior"
IMO the best song from finnish death metal band CoB, it has this really awesome melody which cuts in around 2 minutes.
(Available on the "Something wild" album)

Guns'N'Roses - "You could be mine"
This may not be metal and I don't really listen to hardrockers G'N'R anymore, but it's very sentimental stuff to me since I used to be a die-hard fan of theirs. This is one of the tracks I remember the most, perhaps cause I got it on cd single, but also cause it was on the soundtrack of one of my former fave movies, Terminator 2.
(Available on the "Use your illusion 2" album)

In Flames - "Jotun"
One of Sweden's better metal bands, a bit death metal orientated though. This is one of the best tracks they've done - some great melodic stuff.
(Available on the "Whoracle" album)

Ebba Grön - "Staten & Kapitalet"
Some great swedish punk/rock, also done in swedish. A cover I believe.
(Available on the "1978-1982" album)

Sex Pistols - "Anarchy in the U.K."
A really classic punk song.
(Available on the "Nevermind the bollocks - here's the..." album)

Rainbow - "Man on the silver mountain"
When Ronnie James Dio is involved nothing can go wrong. This is just one of his highlights together with Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple. A classic heavy metal riff.
(Available on the "Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow" album)

Pegazus - "Wings of steel"
Great heavy metal from Australia.
(Available on the "Wings of destiny" album)

Opeth - "In mist she was standing"
Not much by swedish metal gods Opeth is bad, this is some of the most wonderful metal you will ever hear, although it's progressive it's got lots of great riffs. Check it out if you call yourself a metal fan.
(Available on the "Orchid" album)

Metallica - "Whiplash"
"ADRENALINE STARTS TO FLOW, YOU'RE TRASHING ALL AROUND. ACTING LIKE A MANIAC... WHIPLASH!!"
Classic trash metal.
(Available on the "Kill 'em all" album)
