Major disappointment from Therion, after "Theli" you expect them to produce nothing but the best, though this is far from satisfying. The sound is similar to "Theli" although more hardrock-ish than classical. Nothing wrong with the sound or production, it's just that the album in total is very uneven. The first 3 tracks are excellent, "The wild hunt" is a good one too but the fact that Ralf Scheepers (Gamma Ray/Primal Fear) does lead vocals gives the wrong feeling (like feeling sick instead of happy).
A good thing here though, is that Johnsson's stopped his terrifying crappy singing (actually he doesn't say a word :) ).
