Ablaze My Sorrow's second album, they've learned the production lesson since last time
cause this sounds so much better. Anything else changed since the first record? Well yeah,
the dudes have calmed down and don't play as fast nor as aggressive here. To some that
would be a bad thing, but to me it's just proof that a band can progress. Don't get me
wrong this is still fast and aggressive metal, it's just that I get a feeling they're
going more for the melody now and that's never a bad thing imo. They have a new singer
but I think he has the same kinda growling style and he's just as good as the previous
one, so that's another plus for the album.
You have great songs, great musicians, great production I guess you've already figured
out this is a great album in total but what's keeping it from the 5? Well the only bad
thing imo is that it feels just like one of the rest, lack of innovation is a name for
it. Also the lyrics are kind of lame in some places, some almost power metal-ish which
always makes me terrified. But never mind, buy the damn thing anyway.
