    Rating:
So finally swedish Therion did something good. Their earlier albums were very death metal-related and not good at all, but this... is magnificent.
If you don't know this by now this is melodic/symphonic metal, it's got lots LOTS of great leads, keyboards, classical influences & majestic choirs but also some opera solists.
The opera stuff is a major part of the vocals but... the frontman, Christofer Johnsson, does a couple of lines here and there but it's not that bad actually. If you compare to the earlier albums, he's like the God of vocalists here. Anyway his style is still pretty grunty, although it would fit in very good in modern trash metal, perhaps more than it does here cause I don't think too much of him doing vocals at all. Also, Dan Swanö helped out with vocals on a couple of tracks, something you always should be grateful for, he's one hell of a lead singer. And, believe it or not - Therion's drummer does some vocals too. And it's not bad at all.
This is one of the very best albums I've heard in my entire life, probably one of the best of the 20th century, get it now or else.
