    Rating:
This Dire Straits compilation album is one of the few non-metal stuff I have that I REALLY like. Metal fans may not know what the hell Dire Straits is about, but I tell you one thing: You should.
Anyway, their music is mainly guitarbased and best classified as mature rock. One special thing about them, is that, usually rock music have one guitarist, bassist, drummer and a vocalist. But here there's two guitarists, and the lead guitarist does the vocals too - Mark Knopfler.
Although this is not metal, it provides some of the coolest guitar riffs and solos I have ever heard in my entire life - like in Sultans of swing.
This cd contains the bands best-selling work ever, songs like Sultans of swing (this song rule), Walk of life (anyone who doesn't recognize that keyboard melody haven't heard much great music), Money for nothing (another song with awesome riffs) and many others.
All together, this is an album well worth the money you have to spend on it. Only a few songs I don't like: Twisting by the pool (little too much rock'n'roll there), Private investigations and On every street.
This is a special edition of the album, with an additional cd with a live recording from London featuring Mark Knopfler - where he does some of the best DS songs.
If you want to listen to something that isn't metal, I can highly recommend to get this compilation, especially if you find the double cd at a good price.
