    Rating:
The second of the "73-74 trio" albums, practically the same line-up here and hence - the sound is very similar. Long instrumental songs isn't unusual and "The great deceiver" is imo one of Crimson's coolest tracks ever. Just like on "Larks' tongues in aspic" (and most other high quality Crimson albums when you think about it) we get awesome band efforts here, you easily hear that every member is a master of his instrument; drums are as tight as it gets, bassplaying out of this world, and so on and on.
