Third album from Judas Priest and now they're getting somewhere. Perhaps it isn't that awesome
when you hear it today, but consider when it came out... it was '77 for gods sake. Not much
good stuff out by that time.
Anyway now the lyrics are getting more interesting, for example "Starbreaker" which is about alien abductions
and stuff, and musically they've also reached higher than before.
A couple of great heavy metal tunes here, like "Sinner" (a classic), "Starbreaker", "Call for
the priest/Let us prey" and even the Joan Baez-cover "Diamons and rust". But there also are some stuff that I definitely don't think fit in
here (or with Priest whatsoever), the ballads "Last rose of summer" & "Here comes the tears". Well
they aren't bad songs it's just that it's not Priest. And then there's "Raw deal" & "Dissident aggressor"
which both are too odd fit in on a record like this.
