In these times of power metal and crappy black metal one thinks that it's about
time our old heroes return. And then we're talking Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and
Black Sabbath.
As you all know, Maiden did it a couple of months ago - Brave new world, say no more.
But Judas Priest is incapable of doing something good at this stage and Black
Sabbath who knows what they are doing, if anything at all?
However, we've forgotten one particular person who needed to do a comeback also,
the leather maniac number 1, the metal god himself Rob Halford! And now he's finally
done it, at last is all I can say since his projects after Priest were of shifting
quality. Fight were really good but not really his style and Two.. let's just forget
about that cause the old man is back, "Resurrection" consists of 12 massive tracks
no instrumentals or anything, and they're all awesome. The style is rather old Judas
Priest but a bit heavier, than the thrash metal that were Fight.
And how good is this? Well let me tell ya the metal God is back in business and he's
in just as good shape as always if not even better. He screams like he's supposed to,
but he uses his regular voice alot also. If that wasn't enough, he does a duet with
no one else but Bruce Dickinson on track 6. Concerning the musicians on the album they're
all very unknown but they know what they're doing, other than that it's all about Rob
himself who dominates like he's always done. If this doesn't get a nomination for the
"best album of the year" award I dunno what.
