Fourth album and british Paradise Lost keeps progressing. Here there's lots of great melodies, riffs and lyrics - could've been a real masterpiece if it weren't for a couple of boring tunes that aren't interesting enough to raise the grade. Holmes has left the death growling for good and here he sings in a much cleaner way, in style it doesn't sound that different from James Hetfield in Metallica on "The black album".
