The album that came after "Dusk..", it sounds similar in style although this is slightly
more aggressive and brutal, but you can hardly tell. The production is a bit thin though,
so that's one disappointment. Another is that the quality of the songs varies. Some are
top notch, some less good and a couple nearly bad. But in all it's a great album, buy it
if you like COF.
Oh yeah btw my version of the album is a limited edition double cd with an extra cd
containing bonus tracks like a different version of "Lustmord and wargasm", a cover of the
immortal Maiden classic "Hallowed be thy name" and a weird techno song (?!), and yeah the
last one mentioned is as crappy as you've probably guessed. However, the only interesting
track on the bonus cd is the Maiden cover (1 track out of 5), so no reason to raise the
grade just because of that. If you want a good and serious black metal album for once
and already have "Dusk and her embrace" then get this one too.
