1982 was the year of the Italian Conan imitations: Ironmaster by Umberto Lenzi, Ator the Fighting Eagle by Massaccesi, Thor the Conqueror by Tonino Ricci, Gunan King of the Barbarians by Franco Prosperi and The Sword of the Barbarians by Michele M. Tarantini. Actress Sabrina Siani appeared in three of these and also in the following year's Conquest by Fulci and Throne of Fire by Prosperi, and in my opinion she is often the main reason to watch these films, where she is usually very scantilly dressed. Not everybody likes Ruggero Deodato's late genre entry The Barbarian Brothers but I must say that I find it the most entertaining and action-packed of them all. The acting style of its heroes, bodybuilding twins Peter & David Paul, is something quite out of the ordinary... Ca 1982-1987 |
