So, you wanted to know a little about the person behind the
Cave of Many Paths, LightWinger, SkyFire and all the others. . .
Well, my name is Robert, I'm a 23 year old Swede, living in the city of Uppsala. I got my Master of Science degree in Chemistry in September 1998, and I did my final examination project on Alzheimer's disease at the Biomedical Center here in Uppsala. Go to my Science Page to find more information about this and about my general interest in Science.
This year I am studying the history of ideas and knowledge at Uppsala University. I have always been interested in discussions of philosophy and human perception of the world as we have seen it through time, so this fits me like a glove.
Fantasy is a great interest of mine, I like reading Fantasy literature, roleplaying, live roleplaying
and. . . well, most things that has to do with fantasy in one way or another actually. . . Check out The Cave to know more about my interests in this area.
Sadly enough I must admit that I have not read that much literature apart from Fantasy lately. Some of my favorites are Jack London's "Call of the Wild" and "White Fang", "Sofie's world" by Jostein Gaarder, PD James, Dean R. Koontz, to name a few. My big project is to read Shakespear's plays in original english. I don't know when I'll come around to this, though...
Included in this interest for fantasy is a general interest for the middle-ages. I have for two years went to the medieval week at Visby, Gotland that is held in August each year. It is a great experience, walking around in tunic and wollen coats, listening to medieval music, eating medieval food, and buy things at the marketplace. When I get access to a scanner, I'm planning to put up a couple of photos from these weeks, but that is still in the future.
Well, that's me in a nutshell... This page will develop as I find new stuff to put here, so just be patient, and you will be rewarded - sooner or later anyways.
