Forceful win against bitter rivals,
as BK Skjutet leave the countryside with all
three points. Out of some strange reason, a bitter rivalry has
risen between these two teams. This is always welcome when playing
at this level, since it raises the expectations and adds something
to it all. BK Skjutet has not beaten IFK Hindås since they
both played in division 8, two years ago. Last year Hindås
won both matches, a fact that adds even more motivation.
This evening Skjutet was once again invited to the picturesque
surroundings a few miles southeast of Göteborg. On the way
to the pitch on a small dusty road, one passes horses and fields,
forrests and a few houses. The pitch is a quite uneven one, but
the mere pleasure of playing on real grass means more.
Something that very early on becomes clear, is that Skjutet are
focused. Controlled, sharp and concentrated they give Hindås
no space on the midfield, and with aggressive but fair play the
pressure is kept on high. Hindås make one big mistake at
this point: they complain loudly to the referee about his decisions.
This leads to two things, one being that they get the refs attention
in the wrong way. Throughout the match he is aware of this complaining,
thus rarely giving them the benefit of the doubt in situations
difficult to judge. Second, this also lowers the morale of their
players, when they more and more realise they can't find their
usual tempo.
So Skjutet put on early pressure, testing the keeper right from
the start. 15 minutes in, this hard work pays off. On a delicate
ball played through the defenders by Patrik Larsson, Fredrik Skager
rushes towards the keeper, and after a collision-like battle for
the ball, Skager manages to squeeze the ball in at the right post,
with a little help from a defender. A forceful goal, setting the
pace for the remainder of the match. After this, play evens out
a bit, but most chances come from Skjutet. Worth mentioning here
is Patrik Spång's header, that hits the crossbar on a corner
by Patrik Larsson. It certainly deserved better. Hindås'
best, and only serious attack in the first half, comes when the
loose ball is hit from the edge of the penaly area, with much
power. This is when Nicklas really introduces himself. With a
stunning dive towards the ground he does not only save the ball,
but keeps it safely in his arms. Magnificent goalkeeping by this
obvious talent.
The second half starts off pretty much like the first, and Hindås'
inability to focus on the match instead of the refs decisions
becomes even more apparent. The usual fatigue comes creeping in
and play is more and more haphazard, without losing too much in
quality. Hindås hits both the crossbar and the left post
with shots, but Nicklas keeps the scoreline 1-0. The way Skjutet
played as a team was very impressive, and with just 15 minutes
to go, Ola Jönsson makes it 2-0. With a shot not hard at
all he places the ball at the left post, when the keeper freezes,
unable to save it. A well deserved goal, coming in just his third
match in the green-white jersey. The last 15 minutes Hindås
come on more, but it never feels really serious.
With this win, BK Skjutet manages to do what wouldn't happen last
year, i.e. they hang on to the top teams of the table. Man of
the match is Nicklas with some outstanding and fearless goalkeeping.
He definately showed that this year BK Skjutet have two very good
keepers.
Welcome to hell, Elisedal. Next Saturday should be a highly entertaining
event. Be there!/JP
