-"I say, anyone for tennis?"
A strange match, and being the first after the holidays made this an open story, when BK Skjutet underestimated their opponent a bit too much. Luckily, the were able to capitalize on their own chances this evening, thus winning the match. It seems no one remembered what happened the last time they played RIK, when the opponents were only inches away from making it a draw with minutes left, when BK Skjutet severely underestimated RIK. It happened pretty much in the same way this evening.
Still, Johan Damgaard could make it 1-0 after BK Skjutet showed some initial good form with lots of corners won. Johan came around a slow defense on the left wing and scored by shooting the ball of the keeper's legs. After this Skjutet gradually slowed down. Too much, it showed. RIK could make both 1-1 and 2-1 when Skjutet stood still. RIK are very much a team that improves when things are going well. But the penalty they got for the equalisr was somewhat harshly judged. Anders Grehn brought the goods on a free kick just outside the box just before halftime to make things even. The ball touched at least 6 or 7 shoulders and heads on its way to the net.
Fredrik Skager came in at halftime and immediately made it 3-2 on a lovely pass from Jesper Leman.Then Patrik Larsson got going, and some of his dribbling finally paid off, when he scored, without any balance whatsoever, on a close range chip. The following RIK-goal for 4-3 didn't really matter, since the apathy was brushed aside when Larsson made it 5-3 and Manager Patrik Spång fired home 6-3 on a corner from the right. The final consolation goal came just seconds from the end.
On Sunday BK Skjutet will play TQ in the postponed match from June. A win there brings the green-white to the top of the table. Maybe this time there will be less underestatimating?/jp
