A well played first half turned into a less attractive second,
as Skjutet won their first match of the season
facing Mölndal at home. The scoreline ended 4-3 after 3-1
at halftime. Goalscorers were Bo Aztor (2), Jesper Palmqvist and
Kristian Hansson. Most players seemed very anxious to get the
season underway, and this showed during the first 15 minutes,
when the green-white jerseys ran almost ferociously around, chasing
down every ball. This resulted in two goals, the first coming
after only 1 minute and 29 seconds, as Patrik Larsson rushed passed
his marker down the rightwing and played a perfect ball in to
Bo Aztor who just had to raise his foot slightly to charge in
the lead. Ten minutes later Patrik Spång handled the ball
just outside the penalty area, and with a lovely flick Bo Aztor
brought it between two defenders, and elegantly put the ball away
in the left corner for 2-0. Midway through the half, when a high
ball into the box was dropped by Jerker, today's goalkeeper for
BK Skjutet, Mölndal picked up the rebound and easily chipped
the ball just inside the post. Some controversy followed this
goal, when Skjutet claimed offside on the goal, since the other
forward was well behind the defensive line, but the referee insisted
that that player was out of play, and that the scorer had only
the intention to put the ball in the net. Just before halftime
Skjutet got two in front again, when Andreas Engel played a perfect
ball through to Jesper Palmqvist, who rushed passed his marker
and fired home 3-1 through the legs of the last defender and into
the far corner out of the reach to the keeper.
In the second half play deteriorated and Mölndal got back
in the match. 20 minutes in, they pulled within one, and at that
point Skjutet looked nervous and confused, much like Mölndal
did the first 10 minutes of the match, due to the aggressive charge
of the hometeam. In the midst of this, Kristian Hansson came off
the bench, and at a clever pass from Oskar Olsson, he rushed in
from right midfield position and sweetly placed the ball in the
right corner for 4-2. With one minute to go, Mölndal hurriedly
charged in their third goal to bring them back into contention,
but there was too little time to get the equaliser, and BK Skjutet
got the three points after 90 minutes of play.
Showing good form in BK Skjutet this day: Oskar Olsson with his
ability to cool things down, Bo Aztor for a magnificent first
half with sharp scoring, Patrik Larsson with some swift rushes
on his own, Johan Sonander for secure defending and Patrik Spång
showed some of his magic and will at times. The next match is
already on Tuesday, and maybe now that the premiere is done with,
Skjutet will not fall into the play performed in this second half
again. /JP
