CREDITS I. WTF R U USING AOL???!!! Good question...despite all the warnings about aol, i decided to try it NE way. I've been on aol for approx. a year and have found that aol does indeed suck, but i'm still gonna use it for awhile because i can get it phree. Also, aol has some kewl rooms, which i will discuss l8er in this phile. II. CHAT SECRETS A. HOW TO GHOST This trick is possibly the most sought after trick i've seen on aol. It werks on AOL95 as far as i've seen. Personally, i think ghosting is a waste of time because u cannot recieve IMz until u reboot ur comp, meaning if u get dissed from aol and sign on again, u will stil be ghosed. First, u have to be disconnected from aol. On the Aol skreen, click "Mail". Click "Set Up FlashSession". Check the box "Retrive unread mail" and click the "Select Names" button. Check the box beside the skreen name that u want to ghost on and type the password. Click OK and press the "Activate FlashSession Now" button. Check the box that says "Stay online when finished" and press the BEGIN button. Wait until it says "Step 4:Requesting Network Attention" press Cancel. Close the Flashsession box that says "FlashSession Cancelled". Type in your password in the password box and click the "Sign On" button. When u are online, try sending an IM to yourself. To be totally ghosted, open ur Buddy List and click "Setup" and press the "Preferences" button. Click the radio button that says "Block All members from adding me to their lists/invitations". Press "Save" then OK. (Another Note:If u r ghosting as instructed above, u cannot be punted or pinted offline, but u can still be Tosed!!!) B. SENDING A BLANK SPACE TO THE CHATROOM To make a blank space in a chat, press and hold down SPACEBAR. Then press and hold down ALT. On the rite number pad, press 0160 and release SPACEBAR and ALT. U can send the line to the chat now or continue pressing SPACEBAR and make ur text move to the rite. C. ROLLING DICE Another secret is the "//roll" command. Normally, doing this will make the Online Host say something like "BroWzeRX Has Rolled 2 6-sided dice: 3 3" U can control the number of dice and how many sides it has. The max. sides is 999 and the max. dice is 15...This is how u would write it: "//roll-sides999-dice15" D. SENDING ANY .WAV TO THE CHATROOM The sounds sent to the chats are used by typing the "{S sound goes here" command, such as "{S GOTMAIL". Those sounds r from the AOL directory and the Windows directory. U can send any .WaV on ur comp to the chat by typing "{S path goes here.wav" For example, say u want to play the sound "tada.wav" located in ur Windows/Media directory. U would type "{S media/tada.wav". U and whoever has that particular .wav in their Windows/Media folder should hear the sound. E. BUSTING INTO A PRIVATE CHATROOM W/O A PROG I have found 2 easy ways to bust into a private chatroom without using a proggie. The easiest way (i think) is by editing ur Goto Menu. Press ALT+G and click on "Edit Go To Menu". Click on the a box on the left side and title it whatever u want, then to the rite of that box (i prefer using the top boxes) type "aol://2719:2-2-room name here" change the "room name here" to the private room of your choice. Click "Save Changes" and to begin busting in, press CTRL and the number of the box u saved the room in and continue pressing ENTER if it says "The room you requested is full". The other way is by pressing the CTRL+K and type "aol://2719:2-2-room name goes here", but instead of pressing ENTER, highlight and copy it. Then press enter. If it is full, press CTRL+K, SHIFT+INSERT, and ENTER again. Continue as necessary. III. IM SECRETS A. TURNING OFF YOUR IMz U can protect ur self from an IM Bomb by turning off ur IMz. This technique is very effective if ur in a warez room and don't want to be bothered by a lamer begging u to join their "leet" group or if just don't like to use IMz. (Note: U cannot be punted offline if ur IMz are off) To do this, u press CTRL+I and address it to "$IM_off" and press "Available?" To reactivate them, do the same thing, but address it 2 "$IM_on" B. SENDING A BLANK IM TO SOMEONE To send a blank IM, press CTRL+I and address the IM to whoever u wanna send the blank IM to. In the message, type "". Ur name WILL show up on the person's IM box, but there will be NO text in the message part. If U send a blank IM and u already have an IM box open from that person, close the box (press cancel) immediately because if they attemp to say something to u, U WILL BEGIN RECEIVING BLANK IMz!!! I suggest u try it out on ur self before u try it on someone else... C. TRICKING SOMEONE TO LEAVE THE CHATROOM Here's a kewl trick for AOL95 that i got from "HELL RAISER FINAL" Address an IM to someone in a really full chatroom that is really pissing u off. Make it say something like, "Can u help me with my homepage?" but before u send it, highlite the word "homepage" and rite click on it. Click "Create Hyperlink". In the box, type "aol://2719:2-2-help" (U can replace the word "help" with some other stupid private room like "imgay", "lamerchat", etc.) and then click OK. If the person is leaves, they left the room thinking it was a website. If ur in a popular warez room, the person u tricked will most likely not be able to come back inside, cause there's usually someone else trying to bust in. IV. KEWL KEYWORDS Don't go into those member or public rooms that have "AOL SECRETS" or "SECRET AOL KEYWORDS" because they ALL SUCK!!! I learned absolutely NOTHING from those rooms and soon learned to STAY AWAY...NE way, some keywords require u to have GUIDE access, so i don't want to put NE of those up here. KEWL AOPROGGIES These proggies are some proggies I have: Corruption Toser by Pizza-one of the best Tosers Invitation to Hell by Loser- fairly fast pinter, user friendly QuickSilver Punter 2.0 by Ced-good punter, pinter, room buster, and more Ride the Valkrie 2.0- fastest pinter i've seen Tech Punt v2.0 by OveRide-Fastest punter (8 punt modes and other kewl feat.) Tokez Room Buster- about 40-50 tries a second! Lightspeed FinaL by Demi- not as fast as Tokez, but has a Silent option Cold Fire1.0 by Chronos- a lot better than Hell Raiser, not as good as Pepsi Black Plague by Lord- prog with the BEST MMer and SERVER Pepsi 2.3 by CpRide and DC- BEST PROG on AOL, at least rite now VII. AOPROGGIE PASSWORDS/SECRET AREAS Prog Name | What the Secret Does | How? ADD MORE 2 UR MEMBER PROFILE First, u need to go into a chatroom and copy the space between the ":" after someone's name, and what they say. Once u have that space copied, goto Keyword "Profile". Click in a box that and press CTRL+BACKSPACE. That should make a square (Ž). Type the category u want 2 add and press the ":" Press CTRL+BACKSPACE again and type the answer. IX. HOW 2 GET RID OF A PASSWORD STEALER I have had this happen to me a lot of times and since they are so easy to get rid of, so i thought i should include how to get rid of password stealers. This section was meant for use with Windows 95 users. Say u download a proggie from a warez room. U execute it or run the setup. The screen flickers, but *NOTHING* else happens, u probably have a pws. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and check if a 2 f the same program is running or program u have never seen before is running. These include: WIN32SYSMAN, WYN32SYSMAN, 2 EXPLORERs, or 2 AMERICA ONLINEs. Once i saw an AMERICA ONLINE open, when it wasn't even running, so always double check. Try to close the program and hopefully it will close, but most of the times it will either change names, or multipy. If this happens, you will have to press the START button and click RUN. Type in "SYSEDIT" and close the windows until u find the "Win.ini". In that window, look in the "run" and "load" lines and make sure nothing suspicious is there, such as "LOAD: C:/unzipped/ghoster.exe". If u find anything like that in the those lines, write the path to the program and delete the lines referring to it. Save the changes. Since the password stealer is still running, u will have to reboot ur comp. When it gets back to Windows, check to see if the program is still running. If so, check the Win.ini again. Most likely, it has reappeared. If this occurs, delete it from the "run" and "load" lines and reboot again, only this time, when the skreen says "Starting Windows 95" press F8 once. U should be taken to another skreen. Press "Boot to Safe Mode" and comtinue. Safe mode bypasses all startup programs. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL. The program should not be running. Goto Windows explorer and find the password stealer using the path you wrote down from the Win.ini. Now u should be able to delete the program. Reboot. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL. The prog should be gone. X. TIPS When in a warez room, ALWAYS be careful to what u download and execute cuz u never know what a program REALLY is. Most of the time, progs (especially extremely small ones) will not contain virii, but instead will be a pws, but its always a good idea to scan a program for virii and password stealers BEFORE running it. Also, remember if something is "Too Good To Be True", it usually is, these include OH accounts, Ghosting proggies, *new* versions of a prog, the "Best Prog on aol", etc. These are almost all fakes. NEVER download a prog if u see it on a warez list, unless u have seen more than 2 people using it or advertising it. If someone tells u to download their "new" prog, tell them to show u what it can do...if they can't, its probably a pws.
